I love classic cars. Im not sure what sparked off this love, but for a long time I have been lusting after them from a far.
My dream classic car has always been a 1965 cherry red Mustang (convertible). Though, I do realise this car is not very practical for city life and probably a serious gas guzzler, I still cant help but want one for weekend drives by the coast *sigh*
My more realistic dream car at the moment is the Toyota RAV4. Its really awesome looking, its a Toyota (always reliable) and I would just love to have a SUV.
Whats your dream car/s?
Awesome photo Brazen, nice mood.
ReplyDelete1936 Aston Martin, James Bond style...now thats Ches ;)
Ches - Thanks, dude. nice car choice.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is awesome! Well done...i would never have guessed that you took it!
ReplyDeleteAm in love with classic cars as well:)
Ruby - lo. Thank you. Whats your fav classic car?
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a mustang before. They're not really common in SA. LOOOOOVE YOUR photos. Wish I was this good at taking photos.
ReplyDeleteAudi ... TT Roadster ... I have the tiny little toy model at home
ReplyDeletewow.. that's really nice. you framed the shot perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMy dream "old" car is a 1967 Chev Impala - http://karolinelindmo.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/4866448_1967_chevrolet_impala.jpg
ReplyDeleteAnd my 'modern' dream car is a Suzuki Jimny - SO CUTE! http://www.tournal.com/cars/uploads/suzuki_jimny.jpg
Sid - Thnx, darling. If only you could drop water on the model car to make it grow.
ReplyDeleteGary - Thanks.
SleepyJane - 1967 Chevy impala's are very cool.
Great photo - it's really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMy sister's boyfriend imports car parts for muscle cars. He used to own two mustangs - he bought the 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with all the originals in mint condition and he restored a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback with his dad. He also raced 1973 Chevy El Camino and is now building up a Chev Firenza Can-Am.
He and my sister are such car buffs I barely know anything. I don't really have a dream car, I love little vintage porches and I love jeep wranglers.
Awesome pic! I don't know that I have a dream car. I mean, I like cars, but I tend to dream more practically. Like sid, I really like the TT, I drooled over the convertible bugs forever and if Chrysler hadn't discontinued it, I might have gotten a crossfire.
ReplyDeleteBasically anything convertible!
(but, I love my new altima coupe!)
Gorgeous Photo...
ReplyDeleteI will always lusted after a Porsche Roadster, I do Looooove it.
At the moment.. I'm with you on the SUV front. I do love the Nissans.. But every man i know tells me NO.
Why.. oh why...?!
Wow. An absolutely STUNNING photograph!
ReplyDeletethat is a great picture... you have an awesome eye.
ReplyDeleteI've been in love with classic cars for years in fact for my first car I was battling it out with my mom for a classic beat up old Datsun that I was going to fix and call Meredith but my mom won on fuel efficiency and tiny-ness (why are old cars so big? Did they have bigger parking spaces in those days???)
ReplyDeleteI've always loved them because they are beautiful and they are a welcomed difference from the sameness from the cars made now-a-days.
I must say though my fave car is a Jaguar don't ask me what its called (I'm useless with types... I'm a girl in that way) but she is one sweet looking sports car; every time I get a glimpse of one I air-kiss it. It's got a beautiful butt though?
lol
later :P
Just googled it- i says E-class... but again I didn't go into detail
ReplyDeleteAn off-white 1965 Mercedes 230SL convertible...or a cherry red 1967 Alfa Romeo (a la "The Graduate"). Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment? ANY CAR!! My car was stolen this weekend so I'm pretty pissed. But the dream one would be a Ford Focus ST in orange!! Whoop Whoop!!
ReplyDeletedefinitely a land rover
ReplyDeleteI would want an old, beat up motorcycle ...
ReplyDeleteit's weird, but i want like a...99 toyota 4runner. it's big and i love it!
ReplyDeleteI already have my dream car...a 1998 Chevy Cavalier. All I need now is a chauffeur because (after driving for 20 years) I'm not as excited about it as I used to be.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the Mustang. I almost got a 69 mustang when I was 16 but got a 79 corvette instead. It had t-tops so it was a fun ride.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo! I've never ike classic cars much, but I think I might change my mind!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning pic!
ReplyDeleteCar - anything Audi :)
Beautiful Photo! I'd like a car. Any car. Since I've been living in Edinburgh I've been taking buses, trains and taxi's.One day when I'm big I want to own a BMW Z3. As for the classic cars - something about them, those heavy doors, the seats, the gear stick. Love them. So much charm. I'd be happy with a Volksie Beetle. Maybe the convertable one.
ReplyDeleteI love that the photo is in black and white. I'm not sure what my dream car is...probably something fast, black and sleek! Maybe someday!
ReplyDeletereally really great pic!
ReplyDeleteTruly amazing and classic pic of a classic car.
