Who knows how long the freakish creature had been living in the study? *shudders*
<>
Since I almost got sick from the mere sight of it, the Boyf decided it would be best if I left the room while he wrestled the creature into a container (brave, very brave). After just a few minutes the Boyf had secured the home invader in a glass.
The wolf spider (its actual name) was gently released back into "the wild" at about 8:00am this morning.....Ok, maybe not gently..... I made the Boyf drop it from 4 storeys in an attempt to disorientate it so it can't find its way back (because as you probably know most spiders have wicked ninja skills - i had to take special precautions)
Eeuw yuck!
ReplyDeleteI had a similar experience recently. I was closing the curtains in my study when I spotted the World's Biggest Rain Spider (wasn't hard to miss). I usually use the 'catch and release approach' with spideys but this guy was so frikken huge I had no choice but to unleash a can of Doom on it. Aw man, it was horrible! I felt bad but what's a girl to do? NOT cool.
What if it is really upset about having to leave its newly built home in the study? Might it come back and employ those freakish ninja skillz and dig its fangs deep into your neck? What then?
ReplyDeleteI hope for your sake it doesn't come back. spiders don't really scare me but other bugs do. I know ants are harmless but I'm totally freaked out by them. You're lucky you have someone to get rid of them for you. If I see a trail of ants I spray Doom like a mad woman and then almost pass out from the fumes.
ReplyDeleteNot really scared of spiders but still wouldn't want to be in that position. Am more freaked out by ants for some reason. If I see a trail of ants I go insane, attack them with a can of Doom and then almost pass out from the fumes. Hopefully the spider won't bother you again.
ReplyDeleteThat and the Biscuit Bunny.
ReplyDeleteGoogle Spotted Camel Crickets and you'll never sleep again.
ReplyDeleteLucky for you they're only found in the U.S. - in our house only!
Eck!!! I hate spiders...I have goosebumps thinking about them!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got that thing out without being bitten by it...eww
such a funny story, i hate spiders, you lucky to have a boyf that will actually catch them. my husband is worse that me when it comes to spiders.
ReplyDeletei remembered when i had to capture cockroaches for my biology experiment. i was shaking and my hands are trembling.
ReplyDeletewhole body turned cold.
haha.....
Fluffy Pink thing - ewwww, yuck
ReplyDeleteChris - Im really hoping the spider is not going to seek revenge
Sleepyjane - me.too
green eyes - I am lucky i have someone to get them. I would probably just move before i touched big spiders.LOL
Skinny bitches in the making - ants are weird. they give me the "no " feeling
ches - lol
Mega - Good thing you found it. ikky.
Lizspin - HORRID!
Heather Nicole - so glad its gone
Brigitte - I could not date a guy who is scared of bugs and spiders..it would never work. hehehe
One way ticket - what an awful experiment.
Eeuw..I am freakishly scared of such things - small, multi-legged insects. I would have also left the room.
ReplyDeleteACKKKKKKK!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten about five spider bites over the past couple months while I sleep. The first few would swell up a lot itch like CRAZY. Then one night while I was getting ready for back it crawled in for a bite and I killed it.
But I continued to get bites, but they aren't as bad. I'm currently rewashing the sheets in HOT HOT HOT water and spraying the bed with something.
Also, they never bite my boyfriend- just me.
ugh...skin currently crawling. Although spiders don't typically bother me. Surprise spiders at 8 am do.
ReplyDeletei have a feeling that spiders are much bigger in your part of the world than in mine...
ReplyDeleteNinja Mutant Spiders - the next Hollywood bestseller perhaps?
ReplyDeleteDare I ask if that picture is of the actual spider you encountered? Please say NO!
ReplyDeleteHaha I know that I would have reacted the same way. Anytime I see a bug in my apartment I yell at my fiance to take care of it.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. God. I HATE spiders, especially wolf spiders. Now I have the chills thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteArgh this is enough to make me move - yes I am that irrational!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least boyf was there to act all manly and save the day :-p
That's funny. I'm the same way about spiders. Glad he is out of your home!
ReplyDeleteHaHaHa funny tale. Very brave indeed. I bet if the boyf had been home alone it might have been a different story. :)
