1. Some people take wine tasting seriously - I don't really.
2. District 9 is such an awesome film - have you seen it yet?
3. Getting ghd curls is my new favourite hair style
4. Going to a club and not drinking can be very enlightening.
5. People who don't make any eye contact during a conversation freak me out - are they really shy, super rude or hiding a deep dark secret?
6. Apparently I can rock the glasses, no eye-makeup and eye infection look - who would have thought?
7. Window shopping could be used as a form of torture
8. I will eat all the cheese puffs - don't leave the bag with me.
9. The Boyf is my biggest fan - I knew it :)
10. I need to step out of my "comfort zone" more - because that's where the blog worthy stuff often happens *winks*
What did you learn this weekend?

Ghd's are perfect for curls :) I gave my sister one but i prefer doing it with a curling tong :)
ReplyDeleteI dont even go window shopping anymore... its awful :P
Are you going to tell us the 'good reason' for spitting out wine?
ReplyDeleteI learnt you can't choose your fmaily...but you sure a s**t don't have to engage with them on a regular basis.
Ches - I changed number 1. hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued as to the comfort zone stepping out. And love the look rocking.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend! Saw District 9 on thursday, it's brilliant, loved it!! Have a good week too! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm YDE had this cute little black dress but it was R700 and I won't allow myself to spend that kind of money. Have not seen District 9, yet.
ReplyDeleteGHD are heaven sent - really :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with 4,5 and 7.
ReplyDeleteI learned that if it weren't for J I'd never eat a proper meal. On Saturday I ate 4 pro vitas and 2 slices of cheese just because I couldn't be arsed to make something proper.
Glad you enjoyed D9.
ReplyDeleteI like window shopping. But I prefer having moeny to do proper shopping. Seeing the latter doesn't normally happen, I have becoem accustomed to the former ;-)
loved district 9 too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also eat all the chips. we've actually taken to getting a bag each. makes our friendship and our lives better ;!
we learnt that watching two sets of parents play 30 seconds is more fun than going shopping. it was that funny!
BB - thanks for sharing the lessons!
ReplyDeleteI learned that being an expat in Africa has its perks, and one of them is NOT being bribed by police officers at roadblocks...
On a lighter note - never leave me with a tube of Pringles salt and vinegar chips - it will be finished and my mouth will be raw... :)
I can't tell yet; it is a super secret!
ReplyDeletep.s. what are Ghd curls?
ReplyDeleteDistrict 9...? Well I'll have to watch the whole movie but the bits I saw was weird, and disappointing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous... a GHD is at the top of my WANTED list!!!
Ppl who don't make eye contact frustrate me and freak me out as well! I think they're lying about something or hiding something...
Window has been used as torture on me... It’s excruciating.
I agree with the observer... don't leave salt and vinager pringles (Or Lays stacks) with me... I'm hopeless.
I learnt that the ppl who care for you the most are often right under your nose and you don't realize (or appreciate) it like you should.... I've learnt that echo's are really scary and sound travels far. I've learnt that I have to be ready for everything.
=)
Thanks for the info on the Ghd...I think I will let my hair recover a bit more from the home perm invasion before I traumatize it anymore.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I can't stand people who won't look me in the eye, either. Worse, when they close their eyes when they talk to you...gah! I CAN'T STAND THAT!
(p.s. not ready to tell my super secret yet...)
I'm voting for deep dark secret.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what a GHD is, can you enlighten me? I know it's probably a stupid question, but there it is.
I can't say I'd ever heard of District 9, but I live in podunk, so it isn't surprising. I finally got to see the Secret Life of Bees on satelite last week, and I'm still reeling over that. I know, I'm a year or two behind everyone else.
Ever since I saw the first District 9 preview, I thought it looked stupid, but I have been hearing such great things about it, I just might have to give it a try...
ReplyDeleteyes! district 9 was so good & totally not was i expected. definitely a good storyline. maybe they'll do a sequel.. i'd see it.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Nice! Nice! Nice! xxx
ReplyDeleteI can not talk to people who dont make eye contact. It freaks me out something chronic!
ReplyDeleteI learnt that things dont always have to fit the mould to be special!
snicker! #1 is cracking me up.
ReplyDeletei need to see district 9.
no eye contact is bad, but folks that don't ever blink are also terrifying.
I sometimes am shy about making eye contact, but then I remember it is rude and try to force myself. I mean what is the worst that can happen? Darts shoot out of your eyes into mine ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome lessons!!
ReplyDeleted9 just didnt do it for me. im stil not sure why. maybe because so many people were telling me how AWESOME it was, but it just left me underwhelmed..
ReplyDeleteWell, I glad you learnt so much! It's nothing new to me about the cheese puffs. (For myself, that is. . . )
ReplyDeleteI can't take wine tasting seriously either. I think it takes a certain sort of person to take that seriously.
ReplyDeleteAnd District 9 was fabulous!
District 9 - I loved it, and I know what you mean about the not drinking around people who are. Eye opening.
ReplyDeleteI learned this weekend that apparently if you pee in the water "manatees will eat your butt". Wisdom from my five year old nephew to warn his brother when we went swimming in the springs.
Oh, one more thing, if you liked District 9 maybe you would enjoy my list of things that made the movie awesome. It's sort of silly, but here's the link if you're interested/bored:
