10 things I learnt this weekend

1. Sometimes practical gifts are the best gifts
2. Up is such a great animated film (watch it)
3. 'Tis the season to go into a food induced coma
4. Never weigh yourself during or after Christmas day ;)
5. My mom thinks I need to learn to make sushi
6. I act like a crazy person when i'm on a sugar high
7. A mini spring clean can almost transform my home.
8. The Boyfs gift wrapping skills are really improving
9. The smell of my new leather wallet is fabulous
10. Life is full of so many beautiful little moments -And if you stop constantly focusing on the future and rather savour the "right now" you will have a whole lot more of them.

  1. Totally agreed on Up, weighing yourself on Christmas, and spring cleaning in the middle of winter.

    Although the beginning of Up is so sad, even my husband cried. Tear.

  5. Well I learned that when we have 9 inches of snow,and the temp is only in the low 20's, your power in the whole neighborhood might go out for 3 hours....when the sun is already gone.

    Oh well we survived.

    I love the one about your boyfriend getting better at wrapping. My ex used to pay the stores to wrap mine. LOL

  6. haha totally agree, am staying far away from the scales probably till after january.
    got a great practical gift from my fellow skinny bitch and roomie and i love it. am not sure what i did before it.
    i learnt (today not this weekend) try not to go to the aquarium when its school holidays or tourist season.

  10. I can't wait to watch Up! I rented it the other day and couldn't watch it because apparently it's not subtitled and they forgot to add subtitles.
