10 things I learnt this weekend

1. If you go to bed with a headache you risk waking up with one
2. Mugg & Bean makes cookies that are as big as my face
3. I've become very dependent on caffeine in the morning - I need to break that habit
4. Civil Twilight's cover of Massive Attack's "Teardrop" is really good
5. I cannot eat bacon unless its crispy
6. Taking vitamins daily makes a big difference to my energy levels
7. Every now and then it's perfectly ok to turn your phone off for the whole day
8. Playing squash is awesome - it works so many of the muscles I need to work
9. When you see the devastating effects of a natural disaster and how how fragile the world can be, it really makes you realise just how very unimportant superficial things and petty problems are
10. Just because its not going my way doesn't mean its the wrong way

What have you learnt lately?

  4. I learnt that having a minor operation can still cause massive pain and that if you start drinking on a hot Saturday afternoon at 15:00, you will fall asleep by ten that evening. Ha!

I am having a giveway, if you want to check it out :)

  8. I completely agree about switching your phone off and how natural disasters or big events remind you not to get caught up in the details

  9. I know, know, know that I feel better when I take my vitamins, yet I am SO bad at doing it regularly. It's crazy.

I need to apply #10 to my way of thinking more often...thanks for the reminder. ☺

  10. I agree wholeheartedly with you on number 9... witnessing the scale of the suffering of the Japanese people really puts our trivial problems in perspective.
I'm looking forward to sampling some of those giant cookies next month :-)
