Kate's wedding style

Kate Middleton, who will now also be known officially as "The Duchess of Cambridge", wore a gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen (made from hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace), a lace trimmed veil, diamond earrings and a 1936 Cartier diamond tiara. I think she looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding outfit and her dress suited her perfectly.

Wedding notes: I watched most of the wedding ceremony today and I must say that I did get a bit teary eyed when Kate walked down the ailse with her father. The venue was amazing and I loved the horse drawn carriage exit. After having such a lovely  fairytale-like wedding, I truly hope that Kate and Prince William get to live happily ever after...

  1. Ooh Kate wore such a gorgeous dress -- a perfect fit for the occassion. I loved how understated the look was: the cute bouquet, the subtle tira, even the train (all things considered!)...

I enjoyed how the pomp and ceremony was balanced by what seems to be a sincere love and some personal, touching moments. I confess to also getting a bit teary-eyed (when William said 'you look beautiful').

(Along with 2 billion others) I wish the newlyweds every good thing & a beautiful life together.

  4. I didn't watch the wedding, but I loved her dress. I think she stuck true to her own style. The gown was classic and I loved the train. I was surprised that her bridesmaid or MOH wore ivory too, though.

  5. I think she looked stunning, but I thought the whole ceremony was a bit sad and overly protocol...I guess one may expect that since it is a royal wedding. It really did bug me though when the dekan was speaking and said a husband must be loving and the wife must be loving and faithful...seriously???
