  4. Ah, I do love a good pair of Lee's :)

I am a CapeTown dweller & one of my favorite things about this city is that whether it's winter or summer, dusk, midnight or an early morning - there is always something to love. Sometimes it's the natural beauty of the mountain or the winelands; sometimes its the crazy late night festivals & city lights.

In Cape Town, you have no excuse for being bored or uninspired.

  5. I LOVE Cape Town because of the people. Friendly, funky and fascinating. People here are creative and always keen for a jol! Another top of mine is the most beautiful sunsets that we get in CT. Nothing like having sundowners on the beach or Lion's Head, watching gorgeous sunsets with fabulous people!

  6. What I love most about Cape Town (My City) is how, whether you're here for a month or a year, a piece of it stays with you. Like sand in your shoes, or a coin in the pocket, there is always that precious piece of Cape Town to remind you of somewhere, someone or something very special.

  8. Cape Town is the gem of the Southern Hemisphere. I love that I can drive as little as 30 minutes and be in a totally different place. Sea, forest, winelands, mountains... they are all at our disposal. And with such a cosmopolitan city, I have everything I want and need. The people here are excellent and I love Cape Town with my whole heart.

  9. My city (Bloemfontein) is big enough to get the stuff you need, but small enough to escape into nature when you need a break!

    Why you ask?
Well there are numerous answers to this. Firstly your blog is awesome, but you already knew that ;) . reckon the love of the mother city isn't good enough. I love the feeling that Cape Town brings- the vibe, the amazing and crazy strangers that turn into friends, the stars and most important the ocean, the beautiful ocean. I adore the spirit of the friendliness and generosity that possesses much of Cape Town and those who dwell in it.I am originally from Russia and trust me and my soul that CAPE TOWN is truly the best thing that happened to me.

  19. What I love about Pretoria you ask? I think the question is what is there not to love?

No we dont have an ocean or a stock exchange or even a theme park to call our own. But what we do have is a culture.

I'm a soccer supporter and my team is Mamelodi Sundowns. As a result of this I've definitely been to a few games to support my team and the one thing I love about the people in Pretoria is that any supporter in that stadium on game day is embraced as a supporter, as a Pretorian. There is no black or white, no slave or free man everyone is just happy (for lack of a better word).

And to make things even better even though there may be tension during the game there is none afterwards. Supporters of opposing teams can go and grab a beer after the game and all will be fine.

This is why I love my city, Pretoria!

  20. What i love most about Cape Town is you can drive literally 30mins away in any direction and it feels like you're in a different country just about. Being a body boarder its just amazing how different and unique our beaches are, from Koeel Bay to Melkbos every beach has character.

  30. I live in a small little town perhaps you have heard of it, maybe you hav`nt... Hazyview... its tucked away, a stone throw from the amazing Kruger park and the breath taking views of the Panarama route...on our part of the world Jeans are a staple, there are no smart suites here, in fact you would look out of place in one. I love our little town, sure everyones knows everyone but its that kind of community thats so awesome, there is always a helping hand when you need one, not to mention the beauty of the area we live in, the beautiful green canyons, the open bush veld, the rumbling rivers, and the call of wild life at night...this is what i love about my little town <3

  33. Whoever comes to Cape Town is always blow away; not by the wind 'The Cape Doctor' blowing over our gorgeous mountain. No, Cape Town is a place which pulls you in and steals your heart. Cape Town has a charm, a welcoming smile and a poise which one cannot forget. There is something which makes the Mother City somewhat like no other, she has aura of elegance yet is laid back and nurturing - which pulls your feet to the ground and reminds you of its beauty: the land, the sea , the people and the ever changing weather - keeping locals and foreigners a like on their toes.
Having had the privilege and luxury of travel , I've been to metropolises and small cities : none have the magnetism and beauty of my city. Cape Town you're a cut above the rest.

Dare I mention the gangs of fashionista's on every street corner , the place is oozing with style and the latest trends. For me to stand out in this tough crowd -
I'll definitely need a pair of Lee Jeans.

  37. No other city has the amazing local dining culture that my city, Cape Town has. Our people sure do know how to put together a quality eating establishment full of potential for good times and great memories. Also, people always say that Capetonians are unfriendly and aloof. I've lived in and visited different cities and I've never come across a better bunch than my Cape Town friends.

I've Liked the page and tweeted :)

  38. It's hard to describe what makes Cape Town so special. It's more of a feeling or a vibe - but everyone who comes here senses it immediately. What a special place! We've also got an incredible dining and social culture, with a strong emphasis on real, good food and produce. It's unlike any other in the country.

  40. The thing I love most about Cape Town is warm summer nights watching the sunset on clifton, drinking a beer at &Union and lying in Sea Point park. Most of all I love Sea Point pool during the week, when its not so busy, its like a time trip back to the 1970's and its close to the sea, and lets face it living in a city by the sea is the best city to be in :) xxx

  41. The Best thing about Cape Town is that I wake up early day and look out at the sea, in summer I bake on the beautiful beaches and take in the beautiful life, love and laughter around me. By far my favourite place is Sea Point pool, too be honest :)

We durbanites are really lucky because we get to experience summer 365 days a year! I can't imagine myself wanting to be anywhere else in the world because this city is totally amazing.

  52. Living in the moment is never as relevant in a city which may deliver 4 seasons in one day literally, and that's the magic of Cape Town. How to enjoy the city in the moment with it's numerous offerings from the Mountainous nature by the sea, wine, foodie discoveries, relaxed fashion (never under-dressed in jeans), adventures with friends and the enjoyment thereof that makes you want more, is the only challenge. "You (really) don't need a holiday, you need Cape Town" is our tourist slogan to live by... Daily, happily.
