10 things I learnt this weekend

  photo from Garance Dore

1. It's already been 10 years since the shocking 9/11 attacks happened in the US
2. A box of Tim Tam cookies does not last very long around me
3. Gelish nails are so cool -  I doubt I will be able to use regular nail polish again
4. The Opal Lounge is a well decorated, intimate place to have dinner .
5. I don't handle strangers in my space bubble very well- especially drunk strangers on a dancefloor (so annoying!)
6. I can't seem to stop myself from buying floral scarves (they pep up an outfit )
7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is just as good now as it was when I first watched it.
8. Often the best photos are the candid ones.
9. Life's too short to save all your good clothes and wine just  for special occassions  ;)
10. This is so very true and not always ideal:  "People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for." - Harper Lee

What did you learn this weekend?

  1. Great 10 things this week! I agree with most of them :)

  2. Totally agree ;-) Especially #9... I need to adopt that attitude more!

  3. I've never seen Buffy before but just added it to my Netflix instant queue over the weekend.

  4. I'm guilty of doing #9. Too often.

  5. Things learnt
I hate baby showers. I like taking pics with my cell phone. The food at Hudson's burger joint really isn't that good. And I'm not a huge fan of Fiddler on the Roof. Oh and I might just have a crush on the guy I work with.

  6. where are those ballet flats from??

  7. I learnt that a day trip to Paris from London is possible...exhausting but so worth it for the fabulous food, culture and shops :-) I want to do it again soon!

  8. I'm exactly the same with Tim Tams, especially the double chocolate ones!

  9. Have you ever had a tim tam slam? you bite opposing corners and then suck tea through the cookie and quickly put it in your mouth....its delicious and fun to race your friends :)

  10. Love your 10 things! Espeically #2...I need to find another package and soon! :)
