Monday mumblings

Mondays always suck a bit more after a really nice weekend.

Friday night I went to a cocktail birthday party at a swanky hotel.
The evening started out with me slowly sipping champagne, making small talk and trying to stay balanced in my high heels. Everything stayed rather calm until about my fifth glass of champagne.....*grins*
After that I just stopped worrying how uncomfortable my shoes were, how loud I became, that my strapless dress kept feeling like it was going to fall down and whether I would look like an injured grasshopper on the dance floor.
I danced and drank the night away and had a wonderful, fun time.

Saturday morning was a bit rough. The Boyf and I felt a bit hungover. Plus my feet were seriously sore (I blame the bubbles).
Thankfully I got some pizza for breakfast(technically it was lunch time), which made me feel much better. Greasy food always helps the morning after the madness :)

Today I went for a job interview. I went mainly out of curiosity. I was actually very nervous (for a number of silly reasons), but mostly because i havent been to an interview in over 2 years. I think the interview went really well - which is a pity, because after actually finding out more about the job at the interview I dont really want it anymore. Oh well, it was good that I went anyway - just for the practice.

Hope you are all having a great start to the week :)

  2. What I wouldn't give to go to a swanky cocktail party. ;)

I used to like going on interviews, even if I realized I didn't want the job, just because it keeps your resume current, keeps you on your toes, and it's great practice.

    Happy Monday, my friend!

  3. Sounds like the party was a hit. I hope your feet recover.

What kind of job is it for your interview?? If it doesn't feel right, I'd say stay where you are and wait til the next interesting job.

Hope you have a great Monday.

  4. Glad you had fun at the party! Don't you love when a few drinks helps you relax a bit, and makes you more carefree? :) And good luck with the interview! While you may not want the position anymore, I still do hope you get it. :) Happy week to you as well, BB!

  12. Glad you had fun at your party. I love nights like that... until I walk back to my car or try to push clutch and my feet hurt so bad I feel like I'm walking on bone!

I agree with Sass on the interview thing - always good practice for the real deal. Good luck!

  13. I miss job interviews. I quite enjoy them. But seeing I want to go fulltime freelance, there hopefully won't be too many more ;-)

  14. Well done on the job interview! Even if you don't want the job anymore it's great to have the practice (and it's often an achievement in itself to get an interview). The cocktail party sounds like FUN! PS I am absolutely rubbish in high heels!!
