Dye, craving, Barbie and a pink mammal

A blogger asked how my home hair dying mission went the other day - Well, it went much better than I thought it would. The Clairol "Nice and Easy" semi permanent hair dye worked well, The Boyf applied the colour like a pro and my re-growth is much better than before. I may actually use box dye again :)

Today I have an overwhelming craving for pepperoni pizza *drool*. I want a large all to myself. yum. I can work the guilt off tomorrow at gym. heehe

Yesterday Barbie turned the big 5-0. I just loved Barbie dolls when i was younger. I had so many. I have heard people say that Barbie is a bad role model for young girls. Personally, I think that's silly. Now Brattz dolls, they are weird. What do you think of Barbie dolls?

In random world news - Someone spotted a pink dolphin in an American lake the other day. Apparently its not a hoax, but rather a rare albino dolphin. Preeeettttyyyy. Click HERE to read one story about "pinky".
(Note: I've always loved dolphins, but i must admit i love them a bit more now that they come in pink too.)

  3. I'm glad the home hair dye job work out well. It is encouraging to me to save the bundle of cash and use it towards important bills.

    Pink Dolphin!! Eee!
Barbie-- loved her. But I was always jealous of my friends' collections.

  4. Did somebody say "PIZZA?!" It's the S.O.'s birthday today, so we're indulging yet again!

Barbie; I see everyone's point about the bad example, but I don't recall REALIZING any of that as a kid. I suppose that's the whole "subliminal message" thing. I didn't care: she had her own house, drove a motorcycle, was an equestrian, had fourteen different occupations, took care of her sister and cousin, had a S.O. for when she needed him...I thought she was pretty well-rounded!

  9. They say it's not a hoax, but that dolphin just looks TOO pink to me! On the other hand, I've never seen an albino dolphin before so I guess I don't really have anything to compare...

  12. I've actually paid to pat a pink dolphin in Singapore...we were told that they were the only ones in captivity. Is really weird patting a dolphin.

  15. Mmmm...pizza is always yum!
So the semi-permanent dye worked out okay? Hasn't it faded too quickly? I believe a lot of these box dyes are working well for people.

Wow, that pink dolphin is really amazing.

  16. the pink dolphin is cool! maybe it's come out in celebration of barbie?!
I loved barbies growing up, I only had my mum's old ones for years, but then one christmas I got a ballerina barbie. I played with her for years (though the shoes were lost after about 5 minutes - always the way, no?).

I find Bratz dolls to be very disturbing. can't put my finger on it, but I don't think i'd want kids of mine to be into them.

  17. That dolphin is a bit freaky! Yikes, red eyes!!!

I LOVE BARBIE! Yes I still do. I kept my whole collection for my future daughter. I used to make them clothes and give them fabulous careers, but alas I no longer have the collection because my sister's friend's kids literally ripped them apart. I was distraught when I found heads and arms all over the place.
I suppose I understand where they are coming from re the role model issue, but my barbies were always independent and I don't have any body issues!
