Rain, lazy days, thanks and giveaway news

Gosh, its absolutely pouring outside. The streets are definitely flooding, the sky is dark (and its not even lunch time) and I may have to swim home later *winks*. On the bright side I'm warm and toasty in a high up, air conditioned office.

Lately I have not been very productive. My evenings have been spent watching rather mindless TV. I have been reading fluffy magazines and avoiding the 700 page novel on my nightstand (as it seems way too heavy). I have been struggling to get up in the morning and have been trotting in to work at least 15 minutes late every day - I think my winter hermit lifestyle is starting to get to me...Dear Summer, you can come back now :)

At the moment my blog is one of my most favourite things. It seriously keeps me sane (well, semi-sane). I still really enjoy every single comment and strangely still get a kick out of the fact that anyone actually reads it. (To all the new followers and old followers: Thank you, you make my day)

As you have probably noticed, I have a jewellery giveaway on my blog at the moment (hope you entered, its open to everyone). It is still going to run until 26 August.

IF you live in Cape Town and read my blog, I have some cool news for you. This week I will be having a Cape Town giveaway. I will be giving away 3 x double tickets to GHD fashion event. Cool, huh? I hope to have giveaway details up soon :)

How are you today?

  2. In winter it's fine to hibernate, things are quiet here too so I keep getting into work late, naughty me. And if you're struggling with the novel, pick up a new one then try it again. Can't win them all! Otherwise, enjoy the rest of your day and hope the rain eases off for your journey home.

  7. LOL, BB, I'm sooooo feeling you right now. I'm sitting here with freezing fingers and toes!

For someone like myself, who is totally solar powered, I'm running rather low on reserves too, so bring on the summer sun!!

  9. The streets and parking lot outside our offices are flooding. We had rescue vans outside. I know I sound very bad but I think you should enjoy the last of winter and the chance to have those hermit days. They sound amazing!
Am so excited for the competition. Cannot wait for the details!
So glad to be back in the blog world again!

  12. I am so with you on motivation and productivity! And it's SUMMER here! I'm avoiding books, watching tons of crap movies, and reading magazines out the wazoo. And loving my bloggy friends. It must be something in the water...yeah, like the ocean water between us or something :)

  13. I know what you mean about rainy darkness! Lately it's been raining like crazy here, though I just got up this morning and it's not looking too bad, thank goodness. It's kind of fun to be able to hibernate a little though!

  16. I think I hibernate worse in the summer than in the winter. I'm just not a hot weather gal I suppose. Currently counting down the days until it starts cooling off and I can get out there and enjoy the great outdoors again. :-)

  17. I have the opposite problem at the moment - I can't put down the thick novel on my bedside table. All I want to do is read, never mind getting up for work or actually going to sleep. Especially in weather like today!

And I agree - my blog definitely makes me happy. Also frustrated, but right now, happy!

  22. Oooo, I love that picture!

I'm definitely jealous of you. I wish it'd rain here. I'm anxious for Fall already. Nevermind... it's still hot here in the Fall. I'm anxious for whenever it'll get cold here in AZ.
