Book list: September/October

If you have been reading my blog for a long time, you may have noticed that I also have a little book blog. I really love to read and that's why I started the book blog, but sadly I have always found it a bit hard to properly maintain two blogs at the same time. So, after a bit of thought, I have decided to start sharing my book lists (which is every two months) and the occasional book review/ramble on this blog.

What are my book lists? Well, the idea behind them is to find myself some cool options of what to read in the next two months and pass on some reading suggestions to you (plus I think it would be kinda cool if some of us read the same things at the same time). I always aspire to read all four books on my list - but, honestly,  I usually only find time to read one or two in the time period (which is still pretty good I think).

Here is my latest book list (you can click on the title to read more about the book or buy the Kindle version):

1. Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson - This book sounds funny and random. I always enjoy that combination.
2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - Been meaning to read this book for ages, started it once but got distracted (the film adaptation will be out soon)
3. The Red House - by Mark Haddon - I've read Haddon's other two books, so I sort of feel I need to read this one. It sounds like it may be a serious read.
4. On the Road - by Jack Kerouac (the film adaptation will be out soon)

Have you read any of these books? what did you think?

  1. You're a fan of The Bloggess. I've started reading "On the Road". Some parts of brilliant, but my enthusiasm for the book has waned.

  2. From one fellow book worm to another, THANK YOU!!! Absolutely love getting recommendations from others :-) And I think adding it onto this blog is a good idea too!

  3. I'd be interested in reading The Red House as I absolutely LOVED The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. If there is the same sort of humour in this book then I am sure it will be brilliant.

  4. I've recently read The Red House. It's written well, but the theme is a world apart from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Only gave it 3 stars on Goodreads. Have his poetry collection on my iPod to listen to soon.
